Ponytail Care & Storage
General care and storage
You should wash your ponytail only if they’ve become dirty or have product on them. Use mild synthetic hair shampoo and allow them to air dry to maintain their quality and appearance
Brush or comb your pony after each use and putting away to detangle the fibres and maintain the hair. A wide tooth comb is best for any ponys with waves or curls.
We recomened keeping your pony in a pony. storage bag, to keep it free from dust, moisture and stays clean.
Washing your pony
Submerge and soak the wig: Gently swirl it around to ensure it is fully wet and the shampoo is evenly distributed. Do not scrub or twist the pony, as this can tangle and damage the fibers. Let it soak for 5-10 minutes to allow the shampoo to clean the fibers
Rinse thoroughly: Remove the pony from the basin. Gently hold it under cool running water until all traces of shampoo are gone. Ensure the water runs clear
Apply conditioner: If you choose to condition, apply a small amount of synthetic wig conditioner to the hair (avoiding the cap/roots, which can loosen the knots that secure the hair)
Rinse conditioner: Let the conditioner sit for a few minutes, then rinse it out completely with cool running water
Gently squeeze out excess water: Lay the pony on a clean, dry towel. Fold the towel over the pony and gently press (do not wring) to absorb excess moisture
Air dry on a wig stand: Place the pony on a wig stand or a tall aerosol can to allow air to circulate. Keep it out of direct sunlight or heat, which can damage the fibers
Style when fully dry: Once the wig is completely dry, you can gently comb and style it as desired. Avoid using heated styling tools over 180c
